本の小人さん

こども文庫ぽむさんのために、本の小人さんを描きました。

イメージキャラクターのように使っていただけてとても嬉しいです！

はんこや貸し出しけん、そして館内にも、小人さんが登場しています。

実はもう１つ、制作予定の小人さんがいます...

何ができるかお楽しみに〜^^

Drew some more little people for the library I had made the stamps for the other day.

Tailored coffee is a shop of specialty coffee beans which is located in Hakodate.

Soon after they opened their shop in July many people visited and enjoyed truly flavourful coffee.

This time I was asked to make "thank you" cards for their regular customers!

菜箸。竹馬のように乗り回すのは結構大変。コツは正しいお箸の持ち方をすること。

ロンドンにいたときに試作したものです。

今まですっかり忘れていたけれど、

偶然、屋根裏部屋でみつけました。

作っていたときはとっても楽しかったな〜。

This is what I made as a research for the final project when I was in London.

I accidentally found it in the attic today 

and all the fun memories from old days came back to me :)

Mother's Day

Mother's Day in Japan is on the second Sunday of May, which is 11th in 2014.

I made this card to show my appreciation... with full of bright, spring colours :))

迷走しても

Spring has come in the north of Japan

北海道もやっとあたたかくなってきて、

庭の雪もほとんど溶けました。

鳥のさえずりが聞こえたり、うちのニャンコ達が外に出たくてそわそわしてたり...

おそい春が訪れてます！

Finally it's getting warm outside after long, cold winter in Hokkaido.

There isn't much snow left in the garden, and I enjoy listening to birds singing.

My cats no more want to stay inside. They are trying to sneak out of the house every single moment.

ちょっとリアルすぎたため、本番用にはもっとゆるーいパンの絵が使われましたが、

こっちのパンたちも美味しそうなので、

ちょっと顔をつけて遊んでみました。

For their wedding...!

Just quickly scanned what I have made for my friend
who is going to have her wedding ceremony soon.
I rarely use orange colour (for me it's often difficult one to match with my image)...,
but this time it was so much fun to use my friend's favorite colour :))

長野の恵まれた自然の中で育った、友人の結婚式。
ウェルカムボードを描かせてもらえることになりました。
普段はあまり使わないオレンジ色ですが、
彼女の好きな色ということで、
緑の中に控えめに入れてみました。
気に入ってくれるといいなあ...！

Almost end of 2013

Recently I did lots of drawings of cat :D

In these 2 quick images a cat is dreaming of winter/spring in a warm room.

I have developed this dreaming cat for a competition so hopefully I will upload the final drawing here soon.

Coming to the end of year...

I'm looking back 2013 and there were so many things happened(good or not... 

well, I'm happy to say mostly good things!)

There were lots of good-byes... but also nice meetings with new people :)) 

I have come back to Japan, and reached to the turning point of my life.

Kings Cross Station in Underwater World

It's early in the morning. The station is so quiet as if it was under water...

My Illusionist used a magic!!

Yesterday I got an email from Macmillan Children Books, and they told me the judges selected my work, The Illusionist, as a highly recommended piece during this year's judging!!

I am so excited about it...!! Yaaay!

I was very happy with the story itself, but had very tough time to create the images which go with the story. But yes, my Illusionist used the magic really!!

My artwork will be displayed at their exhibition at Foyles book shop from 25th- 30th May.

Slow Life Slow Music

The latest work I did for a musician, Mick. This image is going to be a CD cover of her anniversary album!! I'm having a frustrating moment with my FMP, but this CD project was so much fun!
I will upload the final CD image once it is finished :D

I'm gonna redo the typography later, but yeah, it's one of my favorite recipes ever!!!
You should try it!!! So green, so fresh, so rich. . . so spring!!!
